Export episode notes to Obsidian

⏱ Estimated time: ~4 minutes

  1. 1Play an episode and tap the note button in the player — or long-press a chapter or transcript line and choose Add Note
  2. 2Give the note a colour and comma-separated tags, then save
  3. 3Open YourPods → Settings → Notes and set your Obsidian vault name
  4. 4Pick a mode: write a note into a per-podcast folder under "YourPods Notes", append to today's daily note (needs the Advanced URI plugin), or hand a .md file to the share sheet
  5. 5Tap Export from the Notes screen in your Library — notes arrive as Markdown with timestamps, chapter titles, and hashtags
  6. 6Prefer plain files? Export a single Markdown file with YAML frontmatter, or write to your own Nextcloud instead

Setting up Nextcloud sync

⏱ Estimated time: ~10 minutes

  1. 1Install the "GPodder Sync" app from your Nextcloud App Store
  2. 2Enable the app and note your Nextcloud server URL
  3. 3Open YourPods → Settings → Sync → gPodder Sync
  4. 4Enter your Nextcloud URL (e.g., https://cloud.example.com)
  5. 5Choose Sign in with Nextcloud to log in through your browser — 2FA and single sign-on work, and no app password is needed
  6. 6Prefer the old way? Manual app-password entry is still there for servers that don't support browser login
  7. 7YourPods will sync your subscriptions and listen positions across all connected devices — free, with no YourPods account
  8. 8Tip: Use the same Nextcloud account on all your YourPods-compatible apps for full interoperability
